Common sense for capacitor selection

The actual voltage that a capacitor must withstand in a circuit cannot exceed its withstand voltage. In the filter circuit, the withstand voltage of the capacitor should not be less than 1.42 times the effective value of the AC. When using electrolytic capacitors, also pay attention not to connect the positive and negative electrodes.
Different circuits should use different types of capacitors. Mica, high-frequency ceramic capacitors can be used for the vibrating circuit, paper, polyester, mica, electrolytic, ceramic and other capacitors can be used for DC blocking. Electrolytic capacitors can be used for filtering, and polyester, paper, ceramic, and electrolytic capacitors can be used for the bypass.
Before the capacitor is installed in the circuit, it should be checked for short circuit, open circuit and leakage, and its capacitance value should be checked. When installing, make the symbols of capacitor type, capacity, and withstand voltage easy to see for verification.
